Kathleen Wilson lives in Austin, Texas. The artist, a painter and a sculptor, studied sculpture at the Elisabet Ney Sculpture Conservatory in Austin. Her bronze figures and busts strike a blend of realism and idealized features. While in Florence, she was inspired by the Renaissance painter, Botticelli, and began painting in a classical manner using an idealistic style of today's modern woman. She also paints children, cities, and abstracts in acrylics. Origin Magazine and Southwestern Art Magazine have published the artist's sculpture and paintings.
